西流隆第一个推荐的最经典科幻动画大作：星界之纹章（或称星界的纹章）是日本科幻小说作家森冈浩之的作品，小说版共有三集，电视版动画共十三集，同时亦有游戏（平台为PlayStation，属SLG，即战略游戏）。

自马汀行星出身的少年杰特，因缘继会下成为亚维贵族，在前往翔士修技馆就学以进入星界军服役的路上，认识了帝国王女拉斐尔，同时亚维人类帝国遭到了四国联合的挑战，在这场即将成为人类历史上最大也是最后的战争的开端，两人携手展开了一场孤立无援的小小战斗。
